Easy To Move & Install

The De'Longhi Pinguino PAC ES72 is easy to move thanks to its innovative no assembly required design. It is fitted with pre-assembled folding castors that allow you to wheel the air conditioning unit from room to room to enjoy cool air anywhere in your house.  Installation is just as easy; all you need to do is connect the included flue and window kit (if required) to push out the hot air outside.

Easy-To-Use Interface and Remote Control 

Control all the functions with ease. Using the convenient remote or the simply soft-touch controls on the unit you can change an abundance of settings to make your environment perfect for you. The appliance functions include fan speed, a timer, a cooling function and the temperature to really fine-tune the air output. 

R290 Refrigerant Gas

The De'Longhi Pinguino PAC EM82  uses environmentally friendly and sustainable R290 gas which is 69.9% more environmentally friendly compared to the GWP (global warming potentials) index and better than most air conditioning units on the market. 

Dehumidifying The Air

The De’Longhi Pinguino PAC ES72 also has a dehumidify-only function which makes it capable of removing 21 litres of water in one day ensuring that moisture levels are adequately maintained. This also makes it a perfect appliance for drying clothes in the cooler times of the year.

    I chose this because of its rating in Which? and, like another reviewer, after some years of dithering, and in today's heat (34 degrees outside as I write) am well content with my choice. It's a neat little machine in the corner of my top floor (and under flat roof) bedroom, and I am able to hide the hose that sticks out of the window behind a curtain. I had some initial difficulty working out how best to place the hose, but my son has now fitted a separate product that more or less makes a seal with the window edge and also holds the end of the hose more firmly in place. I worry a bit about the noise that accompanies the auto or high settings into the outside world of my neighbours as I prepare my room for bedtime, but the low setting is quieter; I could sleep with it on, though I prefer not to. The controls are pleasingly straightforward, only I needed a stronger wrist than mine to remove the screw on the remote in order to fit the batteries. One warning, re delivery: DPD, the carrier who delivered mine, did so on condition that I was there to receive the item at their first attempt, otherwise my purchase would be returned to the vendor at my expense. They then texted me at 8.30 on a Sunday morning to say they would deliver between 9.30 and 10.30, which they did. I had been given no warning the previous day. It did arrive fast, but caused considerable stress in the process.

    Did a bit of homework and this air conditioner ticked most boxes compared to other. It has two 'fan' levels, the lowest of which is much quieter than others in the market. The quieter mode is also so efficient that I found not needing to go any stronger. The hose it quite inflexible but was long enough to reach my window, (you may wish to double check before you buy as it's not the cheapest air conditioner, though in my opinion it is the best. The remote is not very sensitive so you do have to be right in front of it for it to register, so with this and the pretty short hose, I have marked it 4 stars. However, I would not consider any other device as it ticks all the boxes in every other way. Very easy to use.
