Effective Contaminant Filtration
The Cabin P2i excels at removing a wide range of pollutants from the surrounding air supply, and it can effectively trap particles down to 0.1 microns in size.
Therefore, it reduces the pollution levels of many common contaminants, including:
- PM2.5 and PM10 particles
- Dust, pet dander and pollen
- VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds), formaldehyde and benzene
Advanced Three-Stage Filter
To remove so many pollutants, the Cabin P2i uses a three-stage method that starts with electrostatic processing and ends with Blueair’s unique HEPASilent Combination filter.
- Electrostatic treatment - Charges particles making them easier to trap.
- HEPASilent Combination Filter - Combines particle and carbon filtration together to remove 99% of particles such as dust, pollen, VOC’s and formaldehyde.
For best results, Blueair recommends replacing the HEPASilent Combination filter every 6 months.
High Clean Air Delivery Rate
Rounding out the filtration package offered by the P2i is the ability to alter the fan speed. There are a total of four settings available, and the highest level, “3”, offers the best filtration performance.
When used on the “3” setting, the Cabin P2i can produce CADR’s of:
- Smoke CADR: 38 m3/h
- Formaldehyde CADR: 13 m3/h
- TVOC CADR: 6 m3/h
Additionally, in rooms sized 4 m², it can complete five full air changes in an hour. A feat that is aided by its 360° air intake design.
Quiet & Efficient
Beyond its exceptional performance, the Cabin P2i is quiet when active, and its HEPASilent filter produces 10% less noise than traditional HEPA filters.
Even at its highest fan speeds, it will never exceed 55 dB of noise. That’s equivalent to the sound of moderate rainfall, making sure it won’t serve as a distraction to anyone driving a vehicle that uses the Cabin P2i.
Matching those quiet noise levels, the P2i is also very power efficient and it can easily be powered from a vehicle USB port. When active, it only requires a maximum of 7 watts of power, ensuring it doesn’t overload the battery.

Lastly, the Blueair Cabin P2i is certified by multiple industry bodies, including AHAM (Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers).
